Motorway Police arrest five ‘Hashu Gang’ members

LAHORE: National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) arrested five robbers of Hashu Gang, who were fleeing after robbing money from a person coming from a bank, and seized the money and weapons from their custody, according to a press release on Wednesday. The release said that NHMP patrolling officials of Beat-20 N-5 C-III Bashir Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmed were on routine patrolling when they got information from the base that the armed robbers had taken Rs 100,000 from a man Kashif Rasheed on gunpoint in Mian Channu and were headed towards Lahore on the motorway in car number LWL-7715. The NHMP officials saw the car and asked it to stop, but the car accelerated even more. The officials finally succeeded in capturing the robbers. The arrested were Hashim Ali, Asif, Asad Ghulam Fareed, who confessed to robbing 50 people exiting banks. staff report
